Photography, to the initiated, is a passion, a mistress or a master; a lifelong commitment to seeing and understanding the World we live in. I have been taking pictures since my father dropped an old Polaroid into my hands when I was ten years old in 1959.He was a "gadget guy" and when his interest wore off sometimes he would give his gadgets to me.I still love the medium; after all the years of trying to understand and keep up with the technical complexities of it, I still enjoy it for what it can show me of my fellow humans and our surroundings. Although I'm fairly new to the site I find it's a great forum for communication and expression and plan to be a supporter for a long time to come.
