Hello! Welcome to my gallery. My first digital camera was a Canon S300 purchased in July 2001 - great camera. My second camera was an Olympus C770 purchased in May 2004. I got spoiled with that camera - it was awesome, and it really re-inspired me towards photography.
But "dslr resistance" could last only so long, so in April 2006 I purchased a Nikon D50. The lenses I have are the following: Sigma 17-70, Nikon 28-200G, Nikon 70-300VR, and of course the venerable Nikon 50mm 1.8! This is an incredible camera, and it inspired me once again!
Well, after 4 years of lugging around my D50, I was going to go lighter and start using my Oly C770 again, but sadly I promptly lost it! So in April 2010 I purchased a Fuji F70EXR 10x compact. This little zoomer (starting at a respectable 24mm) served me admirably. But for a change last year, I got a Canon SX210 14x compact. That is a very nice camera with surprisingly good IQ (and I am able to shoot RAW with it using the CHDK hack - yeah!).
Anyway, my desire for a camera with a bit better IQ and performance than my compacts, and my desire for an EVF, led me to the Nikon V1. As of April 2012 I have had it for two weeks, and so far it is blowing me away. Happy times!
