The beauty of all nature and, especially, the behavior of birds is fascinating. Birds in flight are my favorite subject. The challenge of understanding the growing power of photo technology in this process also adds enjoyment. Nature photography is travel, beauty, technology, all in one package. What could be better?

It is clear that birds have many things in common with us, yet they are capable of flight. Some migrate many thousands of miles each year without losing their way. Animals are also special with unique talents & capabilities that enable them to survive. The power of every part of the natural world is clearly amazing and incredible to behold. Wildlife observation and photography adds untold riches to my life. In it, I can see clearly the power of creation. I really appreciate many aspects of the Native American culture, especially their view and respect for the natural world.

It seems to me that the world is growing further away from our origins and we are losing our connection to nature. The changes that we are making to our planet are a worldwide disaster. Capturing the natural world with photography is my way of staying in touch with the real world as it was created for us, not by us. Sharing this with others who feel a similar bond with nature is a special gift.
