Message from Bob Floyd
I picked up photography in college for fun. To be honest I don't know what drew me to it but I do remember being fascinated with Ansel Adams black and whites. My first real camera was a Minolta X-700 and I used it for every photo class the university offered. For nearly two decades I shot with a pair of these fine cameras, avoiding first the jump to AF technology and then later the jump to digital.
Then I gave in and bought a Kodak P&S digital for snapshots and that was all it took. I started looking at digital SLRs to replace my film SLRs. I kept hoping Minolta would come out with one. They finally did and a couple of years ago my wife (along with much help from some very special friends and family) presented me with a shiny new Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D. That was the push I guess I needed to go back to it on a regular basis.
Please look around and let me know what you think. I don't know everything about this great hobby and am certainly open to critique and criticism so feel free leave comments where you think they may help. I update often so please come back often.
Bob
