I am a serious amateur photographer living in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I grew up in central New York and spent a good deal of time hiking and photographing in the Adirondack Mountains after I discovered outdoor photography in my mid-twenties. From New York I moved to Columbus, Ohio which put me within driving distance of Great Smoky Mountain National Park. After living in Columbus for about five years I moved to Harrisburg. At this point my favorite destinations for both hiking and photography are Shenandoah National Park, southwest Florida, Ricketts Glen in northeastern Pennsylvania and Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area located close to my home. I use Nikon equipment, and normally travel with a Nikon D7000 camera body and several lenses ranging in focal length from 18-300mm. Other items in my Lowepro Fastpack 250 backpack include teleconverters, polarizing and split neutral density filters and a small portable hard drive for memory card download. I rarely shoot without a tripod. I am now using a Benro M227 tripod with a Benro ball head and a Jobu Designs gimbal head. I hope you enjoy the images I have placed here.
